DEBRA HOUSE

BTI  began formal operations due to the critical need for a bridge housing program for single, female headed households.  Debra House continues to provide housing and intensive case management services to this same population.  Since its inception, over 500 adults and 600 children have received shelter as well as education and training to achieve self-sufficiency.  This has been the agency’s focus for 15 years.  In 1999, Debra House provided housing for 38 women and 52 children, and can house up to 15 women and their children for a period of six to 12 months.  Debra House includes furnished private living spaces, as well as access to shared common areas, including the kitchen, laundry, lounge, and bathrooms.
